The Serpent is an original work in gold leaf on paper, 18 × 24 × 1.5 inches.

A single form rises from the lower left in a diagonal sweep, built entirely from interlocking cursive marks that compress into a dense spine at the center and release into finer, open strands at the outer edges. The silhouette tapers into multiple tips at the crown and branches into root-like tendrils at the base , the form reads simultaneously as rising and as anchored.

The title names what the shape does not literally show. No coiled body, no visible threat , only a form made of language that moves the way a serpent moves: through accumulation, through patient layering, through a grammar that curves rather than declares. Script here is both structure and skin. What arrives is something older than the word.
