Six to Sunset is a one-of-a-kind original on paper, 16 × 20 × 1 inches, rendered in gold leaf on black.

A row of schematic figures stands in the middle register, held beneath a heavy textured mass that presses down from above. Dense vertical marks fill the lower field , elongated, variable, some ending in small nodes. Less like grass, more like time made visible. The last light breaking apart before it disappears.

Six figures at the threshold of something. The massing above them is not shelter. The ground beneath them is not stable. The title names an hour, but the image holds the moment just before arrival , the last shared position before whatever comes next scatters the group into the dark.

Fine golden-orange lines work against an absolute black ground, the mark structure gestural and linear, closer to drawing than to decoration.

A quiet work about collective presence and the edge of an ending.
