Auruscript is Victor Selin's invented nonlexical script. It is not readable language. It functions as structure, texture, field, and visual pressure inside gold-leaf works on black.
The marks emerged through sustained daily practice and systematic refinement. They carry no linguistic meaning. Their arrangement carries everything else.
Auruscript developed from an exploration of what remains when the act of making marks is separated from the task of communication. Through repetition, a vocabulary of forms emerged, each shape carrying the weight of intention without the burden of meaning. The system remains open and evolving. There is no fixed alphabet.

Ground: Auruscript provides the structural field within which figural elements operate.
Texture: The density and rhythm of marks creates visual surface independent of image.
Field: Glyphs establish spatial pressure, tension, and depth across the panel.
